The breakfast spread was a culinary masterpiece, and the local gourmet products were the real stars on the table! I also discovered the nearby Lee Abbey Tea Cottage, which serves delightful cream teas and scones that'll have you coming back for a second round. It’s a must-visit if you fancy a cozy nook to unwind.
While the bar area could use some sprucing up, it still had the charm to kick back with a good drink after a long day. Just a smidge more ambiance, and it would shine even brighter!

Cozy place with stunning views
We had a fab stay! The room was super comfy with an amazing view of the trees. Breakfast was delish with loads of choices. Steve whipped up two incredible dinners that we really enjoyed. The steep driveway was a bit tricky, tho – could be a hassle for anyone with mobility issues. a solid choice!

Had a great trip with friends! We explored two beautiful circular walks nearby and enjoyed lots of outdoor activities, like swimming and cycling. The hosts were super friendly, and the breakfast was the highlight of our day. The place was immaculate with stunning views. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting.
The only downside was that the shower pressure in our room could have been better.

I had a lovely stay at Woodlands Guesthouse, with the hosts Steve and Lesley providing such a warm welcome. The breakfast menu offered an amazing variety, and everything I tried was cooked to perfection. I particularly enjoyed the vegetarian option, which had thoughtful touches like halloumi and fresh spinach. The room was clean and spacious, featuring a comfortable bed and a modern en-suite. The peaceful surroundings made it a perfect escape. Although the paths back to the guesthouse were a bit steep, the beautiful views made the walks worth it. The bar area felt basic, lacking ambiance, which could use some improvement for cozy evening hangs. More seating in common areas would also add comfort. a delightful experience with just a couple of minor tweaks needed for an even better stay.
